Dear participants of the Rosetta Dust Workshop 2023,
We now have one week until our meeting. Would you please take a note that:

  • a General Strike is scheduled for March 7. Therefore, perturbations of public transport are quite possible. We recommend you to verify if your flight/train is not affected. Those who arrive in the airport can take a taxi (from Charles de Gaulle airport to the meeting place the price is about 62 Euro; from Orly airport to the meeting place the price is about 35 Euro);
  • the meeting starts on Tuesday, March 7 at 13:45 (you are welcomed from 13:00), 2023 and ends on Friday, March 10 at 13:00;
  • the first two days (March 7 and 8) the meeting place will be the “Salle des séminaires” at the Institut d'Astrophysique de Paris (IAP) (98 bis boulevard Arago, 75014 access map);
  • on March 9 and 10 the meeting place will be the “Salle Denisse” at Paris Observatory (entrance at 77 avenue Denfert-Rochereau, 75014 Paris, access map);
  • the final version of the program is here: program;
  • the dinner is scheduled on March 9 at 19:30 (Contre Allee, 83 Avenue Denfert Rochereau , 75014 Paris).

    Dear participants of the Rosetta Dust Workshop 2023,

    For those who are attending the meeting diner (March 9, Contre Allée), the menu (55€) includes starter, main course, dessert, wine, mineral water. Would you please send us before February 28 (strict!) your choices (e.g. 1.1+2.2+3.1). For the vegetarians, just indicate that you want a vegetarian menu (e.g. 1.1+2.vegetarian+3.1 or 1.vegetarian+2.vegetarian+3.vegetarian etc.).

    1. Starter:

    1.1 Salade de chou chinois aux gambas sautées, ravioles croustillantes et saté
    (Chinese cabbage salad with fried prawns, crispy ravioli and satay).

    1.2 Cromesqui de rocamadour, salade croquante
    (Croquette of rocamadour, crunchy salad)

    2. Main course:

    2.1 Filet de Bar rôti , purée maison et légumes de saison, sauce au laurier
    (Roasted fillet of sea bass, homemade purée and seasonal vegetables, laurel sauce)

    2.2 Carré de veau, pommes sautées, sauce au poivre
    (Veal, sautéed potatoes, pepper sauce)

    3. Dessert:

    3.1 Mousse au chocolat et feuilles de chocolat
    (Chocolate mousse and chocolate leaves)

    3.2 Riz au lait, caramel beurre salé et noisettes torréfiées
    (Rice pudding, salted butter caramel and roasted hazelnuts)

    Rosetta Dust Workshop (Paris, March 7-10 2023)

    Second announcement

    Dear all,

    The next Dust Workshop will be held in Paris (https://rosetta-dust-ws.sciencesconf.org/), starting on Tuesday, March 7 at 12:00 and ending Thursday, March 10 around 18:00. The workshop will take place at the Paris Observatory (Observatoire de Paris, 61 Avenue de l'Observatoire, 75014 Paris).

    For those who are attending the meeting: please let us know until December 15 what you would like to present and discuss. We are looking forward to your contributions for a lively discussion - as we had at the previous dust workshops.

    Social activity

    For those interested, we will organize a visit to the Paris Catacombs (https://www.catacombes.paris.fr/en/history). Since it is necessary to make reservation in advance, please let us know if you are willing to join the guided tour (the price of the ticket will be about 30 euro).

    Please take a note that:

    This guided tour usually takes about 45 minutes (walk distance 3 km and 131 steps to go down and 112 steps to climb up).

    The site is not recommended for the motor disabled, pregnant women, individuals suffering from claustrophobia or cardiac or respiratory insufficiency, sensitive individuals who may be disturbed by the site. The atmosphere may be anxiogenic for individuals with mental disabilities.

    We will send details on deadlines for confirmation of that visit as soon as we will get the number of participants.

    Social dinner

    We will have a meeting dinner in a restaurant in the city centre. Details will follow. Please let us know if you are joining the meeting dinner.

    • 1. If you are planning to attend the meeting (YES, NO, Probably) and for which dates (7, 8, 9, 10 March);
    • 2. If you are intended to make a presentation (YES, NO). If YES, would you please provide the preliminary title of the presentation;
    • 3. If you are willing to join the guided tour to the Paris Catacombs (YES, NO);
    • 4. If you are joining the meeting dinner (YES, NO, Probably);
    • 5. If you arrive alone (SINGLE) or with accompanied persons (NUMBER of persons). It is assumed that the accompanied persons share your choices (except the presentation). If not, please indicate this clearly.

    Would you please check if you are in the list of participants (https://rosetta-dust-ws.sciencesconf.org/resource/page/id/3) a couple of days (one-two working days) after you sent us the response.
